Facilities

Our school is located on one attractive site in a quiet area on the outskirts of the city. The school building and the surrounding outdoor areas provide comfortable and spacious accommodation for the different age groups in the school.

Our beautiful Early Years and Foundation Stage section for our 1 to 4 year old pupils has classrooms with immediate access to outdoor learning areas on one side and our indoor learning zone on the other. These areas are equipped with age appropriate learning resources and play equipment, which allow the children to enjoy a wide variety of experiences in a safe and stimulating environment. The section is independent of other areas of the school and also includes two sleep rooms and a multipurpose space. Each room has changing and toilet facilities.

Our primary classrooms are all found on the ground floor with the majority of our secondary classrooms on the first floor. The classrooms are bright and spacious with plenty of natural light. Computers and projectors are found in every room to support teaching and learning across all subjects. There are 2 designated computer suites, one for primary and one for secondary, with an additional iMac room for secondary specialist subjects. Technology is used around the school with our bank of Ipads and ChromeBooks which can be taken to classrooms.

Reading is encouraged and highly valued. Our primary pupils have reading corners in every classroom and regularly visit our delightful library. Music is popular and important in our school and our specialist music room is used by both primary and secondary groups. We also have several music practice areas for group and individual lessons. Our impressive auditorium houses assemblies, concerts, performances and  parent meetings. Support classrooms provide a great deal of flexibility for pupils allowing us to work in smaller focus groups as required. Secondary pupils benefit from a specialist art room and science laboratories. Our supervised 6th form study area is available to students when they are not in lessons and is resourced with iMacs for independent research and investigation.

All pupils eat lunch in our large dining room and meals are cooked in the adjoining kitchen by our chefs. Pupils use one of three separate large outdoor playgrounds depending on their age. The main playground also has a fixed football sala pitch and basketball court, which pupils use for physical education lessons and during breaks. In the summer months our outdoor swimming pool provides welcome relief from the heat.
